Bienvenue à La Société Geo Africa Sciences!
Il y a au moins un sujet, parmi deux, qui vous a probablement attiré dans le titre : Afrique d’une part, et d’autre part Géo…Sciences, en fait Géosciences combinées de façon étroite à l’Afrique.
Que vous soyez attirés par l’Afrique, ou par les Géosciences, ou les deux à la fois, dans tous les cas, la porte est ouverte pour que vous soyez avec nous !
Pour faire votre demande d’adhésion aller au point 4 Adhésion / Membership.
Cette initiative que nous avons prise pour créer une ONG (Organisation Non Gouvernementale), basée en Norvège et donc régie par les lois en cours en Norvège, est motivée par un « …but non lucratif ayant pour rôle de construire un réseau entre ses membres et de promouvoir les échanges, d’informer, de répandre la connaissance des Géosciences et les disciplines associées. L’Afrique est le but principal, et par conséquent les membres de GeoAfricaSciences devraient constamment avoir ceci à l’esprit.
GeoAfricaSciences devrait, autant que faire se peut, aider ses membres à :
- Développer leurs compétences,
- Initier des entreprises,
- Améliorer/moderniser les activités dans leurs institutions et entreprises… ».

Les statuts sont postés en norvégien (grâce à Yanis), anglais et en francais ; nous remercions aussi Kurt pour son assistance dans le processus administratif de création de Geo Africa Sciences.
Pour lire et télécharger les statuts aller au point 5 Statuts, ils y sont en 3 langues (anglais, norvégien et français).
Un des points importants souligné dans les statuts est la TRANSPARENCE ; aussi régulièrement nous posterons les informations essentielles sur l’état de La Société Geo Africa Sciences et notamment l’état des finances.
Il y a trois (3) grands types de chantiers, des livres ouverts, que nous commençons à poster, compléter et enrichir progressivement :
1) La présentation de chaque pays africain, sous l’angle des géosciences, à cet effet le premier chantier posté sur le site web est celui de l’Algérie : « L’Algérie sous le Scanner des Géosciences ».
La participation de tout un(e) chacun(e) est la bienvenue.
2) Aperçu de chaque discipline des Géosciences. Le livre ouvert sur la Géologie Structurale a été initié.
3) Dictionnaire (français et anglais) avec son aspect universel, et spécifique à des terminologies géoscientistes des pays africains est encore à l’étude pour être initié.
L'Information, si possible au quotidien ou hebdomadaire, en même temps nous publions une lettre mensuelle d’information.
Se pose l’issue des archives que nous réglerons au fur et à mesure.
Les opportunités de « business » et d’emplois, qui sont aussi un challenge ; nous verrons en temps utile comment le prendre en charge.

We took initiative to create this NGO (Non Governmental Organization), based in Norway and so under Norwegian laws and rules, fuelled by “...a non-profit organization aiming to build up network between members and to promote exchanges, information, spread knowledge in GeoSciences and related other disciplines.
Africa remains the main goal, and so GeoAfricaSciences members should always keep this in mind.
GeoAfricaSciences as much as it can be, help members:
- Develop their skills,
- Initiate businesses,
- Improve/modernise activities of theirs institutions and companies...”

One of the most important issue highlighted in the statutes is TRANSPARENCY, therefore we will regularly post the main information illustrating the state of Geo Africa Sciences Society and its financial situation.
There are three (3) great types of ongoing jobs, open books; we kick off by posting and improving progressively:
1) Presentation of every African country analysed under Geosciences. In this regard, we start with the first one posted on the website, it is about Algeria: “Algeria Analysed by Geosciences”.
Contribution of anyone is most welcome!
2) Outline of each Geosciences discipline. The open book about Structural Geology is launched.
3) Dictionary (English and French) with its double sides: universal to global geosciences and particular to African countries geosciences specificities. This task is not yet launched.
Information, may be posted at daily or/and weekly frequency, in the same time we started a monthly newsletter.
Archive issues will be probably solved in time.
Business and jobs opportunities, a real challenge issue will be addressed soon, hopefully.
